One art critic in Bath states that “it takes a good artist and a brave one to paint in dark colors..the public tend to like bright pretty colors”. Sure enough, the McCann style is unique, and reflects a deep-drawn talent and thought.

Banjo, Pipes and Fiddle

To fully interpret Fran’s art, we also must understand his profound tie with the music; the author firmly believes music and creativity, in a mutual exaltation and inspiration, complement each other, helping him to express and transmit on canvas, his emotions, his life and his country.
